Welcome to the official website of the “Comparative Study of Chilean Journalists, Communication Professionals and Journalism Educators” project. Here you can find both general and specific information about the structure of the study, as well as relevant links and documents related to Chilean journalism.
The overall purpose of this project is to define the current structure as well as the different cultures of the journalistic profession in Chile, exploring variation within the territory of the country (geopolitical order), across labor areas, and across organization types.
We hope to get support and feedback from the academic community as well as from professional journalists.
This project is headed by the University of Santiago, the University of La Frontera, the Northern Catholic University, and the University of Chile. Funding has been provided by the National Fund for Scientific Development and Technology of Chile (FONDECYT, for its name in Spanish). |
